At a glittering ceremony held at the Sheraton Park Hotel, Travelscope scooped the prestigious Best Group Tour Operator award. Voted for by readers of Group Leisure magazine and groupleisure.com, the Awards recognise the very best across the group travel industry. Needless to say, we are very proud to receive this accolade from group organisers throughout the U.K., to whom we will continue to offer a friendly and expert service at unbeatable prices.
And now winners of the Best Long-Haul Group Tour Operator Award!
Following a vote by group travel organisers from throughout the U.K., Travelscope won its third major national award in as many years when it was presented with the Best Long Haul Tour Operator for Groups at the 2006 Group Travel Organiser Awards Dinner. We are delighted to have won in this category as we have recently relaunched our long haul product under the Worldwide Escorted Holidays banner, and winning this award is proof of the enthusiasm with which this initiative is being received in the market place.

Rugby World Cup
We are delighted to be appointed an Official Travel Agent for Rugby World Cup 2007, an occasion that never fails to capture the imagination.
High profile sporting events involving national teams are always a magnet for groups, but the RWC has to be the Holy Grail. With matches in Cardiff and Edinburgh as well as ten venues across France, your groups will arrive fresh and eager to absorb the special, friendly atmosphere that sets rugby apart from all other team sports.
RWC 2007 will be the sixth Tournament and will represent the 20-year anniversary of the event. The Tournament continues to grow in popularity and support every four years and represents a vital source of revenue for the development of the game worldwide.
At Travelscope we have worked hard in recent years to develop our range of sporting event holidays for groups - both at home and overseas - and we expect to be announcing further details of our RWC packages early in the New Year. In addition, we can tailor-make a package that enables your group to watch the rugby and enjoy attractions that appeal to their particular interests, be it in France, Wales or Scotland.
Anyone can join…
From sports clubs and horticulturists, to Line Dancers and ornithologists, Travelscope have successfully worked with many different groups, covering many different interests. You may even have seen us in your group magazine, especially members of U3A and the Royal British Legion. With Travelscope there’s not always the need to have a party of 50 members; it is possible for us to arrange holidays for groups as small as 10 people – if flying or travelling by Ocean Cruise vessel. No wonder the readers of Group Leisure Magazine voted us ‘Best Group Tour Operator 2005'!

“I use Travelscope as I find them very willing to discuss all aspects of a proposed break away including extras (insurance, excursions and additions to the itinerary), often at very little cost. Nothing is too much trouble, they value the custom.
As I organise many trips a year, I decided that I would like to meet the Managing Director of Travelscope to check out the company. A meeting was set up in Gloucestershire and I had an escorted tour of the offices before meeting Richard Ford. I found him passionate about the company and unbelievably motivated, which has been the culture adopted by the all the staff and the reason for excellent service.”

"I have used Travelscope for several group holidays and members have suggested I write to thank the staff involved. On a personal note, I have been impressed by the attention to detail and the flexibility that has ensured each trip and cruise has been a success. Keep up the good work."
Wallace Giddings (Peterborough U3A Travel Club)
"Having taken so many trips which I have arranged with Travelscope, I just wanted to say thank you for giving me so much peace of mind and making my job as Group Organiser so much easier that I always look forward to travelling with you.
You go out of your way to make the task of a GTO so straightforward, with your attention to detail and in particular by assigning one named person for me to deal with. As to the holiday itself, the expertise of your Tour Managers ensures that the whole group are well cared for and enjoy the whole experience."
Brian Matthews (Bristol Postal Retired Officers Association)
